Softball.

Isaiah played on his Cub Scouts softball team for the month of June.  It was every Tuesday/Thursday night for the 4 weeks.  He had a lot of fun and looked pretty cute too!
The games were at two different elementary schools depending on the night.  Mark was a great assistant coach to the kids - the coaches were all parents who were willing to step up and help out!  I love that he's so willing to do that for our boys!
He was really excited when it was finally his turn to be the catcher -- I'm pretty sure it was because the catcher gets the most activity in the games (as the pitcher is one of the adult coaches).  My mom came to watch a game too.
Levi and Titus were pretty good sports about having to come so many nights to watch the games.  For the most part my bag of books/small toys entertained them for about 2 minutes and the other 58 minutes was a challenge to keep them out of trouble.  :)  The one school had a park very close to the ball diamond so Levi could easily go play, but the other school the playground was around the school - we usually went to play for at least part of a game.  One night our friends Caleb and Elise got to come watch too!
After the very last game of the season they had a water fight to end things off as fun as possible.  The weather was great - nice and HOT and all the kids left soaked!

What a fun month of softball!  A great way to meet lots of new friends!

(of course the night we took a group picture Mark had to leave a few minutes early to get to work and missed it.)

Camp out at the Bucks Stadium!

Because Isaiah was an official Cub Scout, he was able to sign up for most of the events they had planned all summer long.  When Mark found out there was a camp out on the Bucks Stadium, he couldn't wait to take Isaiah!   The baseball game ended up being delayed for an hour and half due to some rain so the game went late!!  After the game was a few fireworks -- our friend LeAnna brought her son Caiden (in the silly hat) and her niece Evelyn (in Mark's lap) and nephew Brayden to watch the fireworks and they happened to find Mark and Isaiah.
They left after the fireworks and Mark and Isaiah got to pick their spot on the field...
After the crowds were gone, the boys got to watch a movie on the field - and hot dogs for a late night snack :)
It was FINALLY Time for bed around 1am -- what!!??
And the boy slept good all night long.
Everyone woke up happy and excited to still be on the field!
One of the troup leaders that was at the event was a local police officer and he let the kids (big and small) check out his police car before it was time to go.
What a fun event for Mark and his oldest son!

Father's Day.

My boys before church on Father's Day.  Love them.
Isaiah was excited to finally give Mark the gift he made him at kindergarten back in May - he secretly brought it home when he brought my Mother's Day one home and together we hid it until this special day.  (I'm almost a little surprised we remembered it! :)
So neither Mark nor I can remember what we did the rest of this day :)  But I'm pretty sure we did something fun  -- oops!

Cub Scout!

Just before the end of the school year Isaiah got an invitation in the mail to join Cub Scouts.  He REALLY, REALLY wanted to go join - I think it may have had something to do with the fact that the sign up event was at Chuck E Cheese - but we decided we'd let him join.  At his first meeting he became an official Cub Scout.  Unfortunately the pictures from this event are no where to be found, but here's a few of the after pictures with the face paint still showing.  He is one proud little Tiger Scout!

Happy birthday Silas!

Our friend Silas turned 3 the end of June so we went to the inflatable park to celebrate!
So I didn't really take any other good pictures - I guess I was too busy chatting, but we all had a good time celebrating!  Silas' mom and I go back many years and it's amazing to look at all the blessings God has put into our lives with the 7 little ones we have between us.  I don't think when we met 8 years ago we would have imagined this is where we'd be now.  God is good.
See...no other good pictures.. no clue what these two are up to in the picture above, but chances are it's something silly. :)

Aunt Nikki's House

In mid-June we went to visit Aunt Nikki and family in North Liberty.  It seems like the camera gets forgotten on these trips anymore, but I did capture a few pictures that day.  I didn't think to bring swimming clothes along so the boys got in clothes in all!

two front teeth

On June 16, about a week after his first top tooth fell out, his second top tooth fell out!  His bottom two had fallen out in the fall and since then he'd been waiting and waiting for more loose teeth.  I'm not 100% sure that he didn't wiggle them loose, but I do know for sure he wiggled them right out. He was proud of his big hole :)
Because I'm still so behind in my blog, as I'm writing this in very late September his hole is still there and there is no sign of the "grown-up" teeth coming yet.  He doesn't seem to mind one bit, in fact, he has successfully eaten corn on the cob many times without them...maybe he will be singing "All I want for Christmas is my Two Front Teeth" after all.  Oh, and we've had no more loose teeth since.
