There were two sections of kindergarten at Isaiah's school this year. Isaiah and his friend Owyn were in the same class. Owyn's friend Dalton was in the other. Owyn and Dalton had a joint birthday party at the local indoor pool. Each boy invited their entire class to the party which means the ENTIRE KINDERGARTEN was invited! (A total of 52 5-6 year olds!). Isaiah was so excited. I found somewhere for Titus to be (either my mom's or LeAnnas - can't remember anymore) and encouraged Levi to stay with Titus but he insisted that he wanted to come watch the party (in his swimming clothes). I finally agreed. Of course the parents kindly offered to let Levi swim - what's one more?
Let's just say that this party was nothing short of complete chaos. 5-6 year olds EVERYWHERE. But every single one of them was having the time of their life! Most of the party (for my boys )was spent in the "baby" pool which is pretty much a big hot tub (the same place the boys did their preschool swimming lessons).
(Levi's in the blue shirt)
But Isaiah did go into the big pool to play with his friends there too. (he's on the purple noodle)
This was one of the few experiences that Isaiah's had with most of these kids outside of the school. It's fun to stand back and watch how he behaves. It was cute to see that he sticks to his friends he's known the longest...His preschool friend Viviane.
and my co-worker's daughter Rhea (he's known her since birth!)
And his best buddy of all -- his brother.
Levi was so thrilled that he got to swim too. Swimming is one of his most favorite things EVER. His poor eyes, however, don't love the chlorine!
Isaiah's friend Micheala came looking for him during cake and ice cream time. She's such a sweet girl who likes to be around Isaiah! :)
Let's just say it was a SUPER FUN birthday party -- but I'm pretty sure there will be no pool parties in our future -- at least not where the entire grade is invited!
