I'm losing my mind!
So this contest is taking just about everything out of our family - night and day, minute by minute, it's all we can think about. We know that this money would CHANGE . OUR . LIVES . there is no doubt about it. We could do so much for Adrenaline X Mobile Laser Tag with it! We want to grow and we could use this grant!
BUT - we need to relax, realize it's just money, and if we don't get this, we'll just keep moving forward a little at a time. So pray for us - pray that we can keep our focus where it should be and that God will give us the perfect balance of motivation and peace with this competition. We know that God has a plan and if it's His plan for us to win - He will bring the votes to us. There's more to life than winning this grant.
And if you haven't voted yet today....please do--and remember you can vote through April 30.

We need your support!!!
Hi friends and readers!
As many of you know from previous posts (or actually talking with me!:) my husband started his own business called Adrenaline X Mobile Laser Tag. He purchased some very fancy (and very expensive) Tippmann Laser Tag guns and some commercial grade bunkers and set out on a mission to bring entertainment to the Cedar Valley. He started mainly by word of mouth advertising to friends and family and did a few trial parties and has realized this really is his dream - to help people have fun, be active and work together. And it's actually working!! He's booked 6 or 7 parties just since the beginning of March. It's not just us that think it's great - so does everyone else!! This great demand has made us realize that we need more - more guns, more bunkers , a trailer, and part time help -- and all of this means more $$.
Which leads me to YOU (and no I'm not asking you for money!!HA). We recently applied for a grant through Dream Big Grow Here which is put on by the Cedar Valley Chamber to offer a big sum of money to a local small business in our area. They are going to decide who wins the grant by opening it up to voting - anyone, anywhere can vote once per DAY from April 15 - April 30. So I'm here asking for your support - for your vote - for your daily vote (if you can remember- and if you can't I'll email you daily! and probably remind you here daily too!).
And let me explain to you why I'm here - basically begging you --
Watching the excitement and passion in my husband's eyes when he is hosting an event is so emotional. Seeing him enjoying what he's doing is priceless. Helping him help others to get up, get moving, working together and having fun is amazing - it's us together. Every part of it is a gift from God. And seeing him miss out on family things because he has to d.r.a.g. himself to another day at his current full time job is heartbreaking. Watching him try his best to put on a smile every.single. Tuesday-Friday and tell our boys goodnight at 3 in the afternoon just so he can go spend 10 hours moving boxes around a warehouse is awful. I know that in my heart of hearts that God has something bigger than "warehouse worker" in his future. And maybe it's this grant that will jump start that future.
So after the sob story - can I count on you for your vote? If so, here's how --
1 - Visit www.DreamBigGrowHere.com
2- Click on the word "VOTE" at the top of the page
3 - Select "Cedar Valley" from the contest drop down box
4 - Find my dreamer - Mark Mayfield
5 - VOTE.
Please feel free to share this with any friends or family that you may have that would be willing to support him - or post it on your blog if you so choose.
Thank you for your support!!!

let's go fly a kite!
Isaiah's friend Izzy gave him a Spiderman kite for his birthday -- I had every intention of taking him to fly the kite last fall, but it just didn't happen mainly because the kite was put in the back of the "art" part of our pantry and was forgotten about until the middle of this winter. I happened to see a Buzzlightyear kite at Target for $0.99 the other day and was reminded of Isaiah's kite, so I bought Buzz and when we got home we flew kites.
We only had about 20 minutes before nap/rest time so the boys were excited to go to the park later in the afternoon. We dropped by Grandma and Grandpa's house to see if they wanted to come too...of course they did!
Levi was quickly distracted by the park near by...
This warm weather is so great!!

Khia's 3rd birthday party!
Our niece Khia turned 3 in March! She had her 3rd birthday party at a local hotel where we all got to go swimming! The boys were super excited! Levi is such a fish - he loves the water and has absolutely no fear in (or out) of it! Isaiah likes the water too, but prefers to hang out in hot tubs, partially because he can stand up in the whole pool and partially for the warmth! So this party was a complete hit for them!
I got in with both boys thinking I would be holding onto Levi for the most part and Isaiah would stick close by - but I was wrong!
Isaiah with the birthday girl!
Loving the hot tub!
Thankfully Grandma Cindy brought us life jackets! Levi was jumping into the pool all by himself, going completely under water and popping up just like this and ready to do it again. He was loving it!
and Mark eventually had to get in too! With two little fish and lots of kids running around, we just can't ever be too safe!!
After swimming, it was time for pizza, cake and presents! Here's the 3 year old!
And here is Isaiah who snitched a sucker off the birthday girl! (thanks Grandma Cindy!)
And our little thief - Levi took an apple off the table in the hotel lobby. He enjoyed it all the way home!
What a fun way to celebrate! Happy Birthday Khia Jo!

Jayda's house
We went out to visit Jayda (and of course Jonah, Silas, Laura and Cliff) last week. I didn't tell Isaiah until the night before - he got the biggest eyes and smiled his biggest smile and gave me the biggest hug and said, "tomorrow's going to be the best day ever!!!!!!!!!!!"
Remember back to when Isaiah and Jayda spent 4 and 5 days a week together ALL. DAY. LONG? They were the absolute best of friends. And as much as Isaiah LOVES Caiden (and his other friends), I think Jayda is still his best friend, the one he loves the most. We joke that maybe one day they will get married? We'd sure have some sweet pictures if they did.
They picked up right where they left off and were playing together like best buds. Somehow they just work out together -- and they are so completely opposite. Isaiah is social and a bit loud, he loves to play rough and tough and make big messes. Jayda is shy and pretty quiet (at least at first), she's gentle and just doesn't seem to make messes anywhere near the size of Isaiah's. AND we went outside to look around and Isaiah was down in the mud, picking up chunks of it and completely dirty. Jayda just stood back to watch, careful not to get muddy at all. I think it's true, opposites attract - they compliment each other well.
Levi was also happy to see his old pal Jonah. It was nice for him to have a friend his own age.
Thanks for letting us come play with you! Your house is BEAUTIFUL.
