one random day

Each day around here is filled with sweet little moments that just seem like day to day stuff, but looking back at how quickly life goes, I know one day these moments won't be here anymore.  I'm trying to savor each and every one of them.

Titus is (one of) our little tablet addicts.  He loves to find a tablet and play.  Here is is playing on Levi's tablet he got for Christmas from Grandma Michele and Great Grandma Mary.  His favorite is when he gets ahold of mine.  Many mornings he wakes up far before I'm ready to get out of bed so he gets to sit and play on my tablet as I give myself a few minutes to get ready to get myself out of bed! :)
He also likes to "cheese" for the camera.  When he sees the camera he will smile big and say CHEESE.
These two get lots of one on one time together while Isaiah is at school.  Finding them together in this chair is not uncommon.  They will sit and talk, read books or when it's time for a show they will sit there too.  (It's also a regular thing for all three of them to sit together!)
Silly boy #1
Silly Boy #2
Almost every single day Levi asks if we can have raviolis for lunch or supper (or breakfast on occasion).  They are sooooooooooo easy that I will admit we probably give in more than we should on these (like twice a week sometimes :).  I do buy the sugar free spaghetti sauce to make up for it, haha.
And Titus is totally into everything - he loves my bathroom drawer and managed to break the child lock...so I often will find things missing and one day he tried to do his own makeup.
Sadly there were no pictures of Isaiah this day -- school just gets in the way of the fun!  I know Isaiah was enjoying one of his last days of kindergarten while we were stuck at home.

trampoline!

I really wanted to get the boys a trampoline last year - but I had trouble convincing my parenting partner that it would be safe for our crazy little boys.  So last summer and fall went by with no trampoline.  Then this spring came around and the neighbor boys (who are just enough older than ours and can handle a trampoline safely without a net around it) started jumping on their trampoline ALL THE TIME and the boys kept begging to go jump.  So when Menards had trampolines $100 off this spring he finally agreed! :)

We brought the huge box home and spent about 3 hours putting it together while Isaiah was at school...
It was really fun!  haha.  Levi and Titus got to witness the fun and were so anxious for it to be set up.
When it was finally done...and we had to HURRY F.A.S.T. to get Isaiah from school on time...it took us all afternoon!  He was so surprised and excited!
We spent most of the evening jumping, jumping, jumping!
Hooray for the trampoline!  Lots of summer fun to be had by all!

Mother's Day.

The night before Mother's Day Isaiah couldn't wait and gave me the Mother's Day gift that he made for me at school.  It was a sweet tile with his finger prints made into a flower.  Love it!
Sunday morning we went to church and then delivered our handmade gift to my mom...
I honestly cannot remember what we did for the rest of the day :)  oops.

Levi did make me a really sweet card at preschool that he couldn't wait to give me so I got that Friday morning after school.  I will try to remember to take a picture and post it here :)

Celebration in North Liberty

We went to visit my sister and her family the weekend of Mother's Day.  My parents came too and we celebrated the special weekend.  The boys LOVE to go visit their cousins.  They often comment about how they wish they got to see them more often.
Six kids 6 and under can get crazy so it's nice when we can play outside.
Grandpa took a few laps around the block with a full wagon.
After a long day outside - there's nothing better than a Popsicle break.  Can you believe these lucky kids got to eat these dark Popsicle inside?  wow my sister is brave :)
Little Elise is getting so big!  Seems like she was just the baby of the family!
We stopped to get the few geocaches hidden in North Liberty before we headed home.  They were fun ones!
But things were a little muddy -- Mark lost his shoe - oh no!
What a pretty path around his lake and I even convinced everyone to stop for a family picture!
What a great day!  There's nothing better than being with family!

night on the porch

Mark is such a great dad.  He works so hard to do fun things with the boys.  One day in early May Mark, Isaiah and Levi came up with the wild idea to sleep on our porch.  They brought out plenty of blankets and pillows a few bedtime stories and they enjoyed an overnight on the porch.  They were thrilled.
I'm guessing this is a memory they will have for a long time!

Barnyard Moosical

The kindergarten classes at Isaiah's school put on a music concert one afternoon early in May.  I'm so glad that Mark and I have flexible schedules so that we can make it to (just about) all of these events!  Titus and Levi were thrilled to be there too (only sort of :).
I had every intention to dress Isaiah up a little nicer than normal for his concert but forgot the morning of...oops.  Luckily Isaiah's classmates all (for the most part) dressed casually too. Here they are walking in to the concert.  Believe it or not the boy in the yellow shirt in front of Isaiah is a kindergartner who just happens to be a whole foot taller than him!
The concert was called the Barnyard Mooosical.
The kids sang several songs about being on a farm and each song had a different animal as the focus.  3 or 4 students came up front and put on a picture of their animal.  Then 2 students and read a little poem.  Isaiah and Fletcher got to read the poem about the cows.  It was a funny poem so the audience laughed several times during their poem.  After a long tired day at school Isaiah came home upset that people were laughing at him during the concert...poor little boy.  He showed no sign of being upset about this during the concert
They all did a great job.  It was short and but very sweet.
Even Grandma came to enjoy the performance!
What a perfect way to end a school day!  Way to go kindergartners!
