We dropped the boys off with my mom and dad first thing Saturday morning (which was a little hard - our first night away from Levi!!) and headed off towards Bellevue where the Mont Rest Bed and Breakfast. We decided to take a short detour and go to Galena, Illinois for lunch and to look around the fun shops. What a good decision! Good idea honey! :)
We first stopped at Galena Cellars Winery where we did a little wine tasting. I always thought that I didn't really care for wine. But, after some tasting - I learned that if it is a sweet wine, I like it :)
Next we looked around a few shops and stopped at a restaurant called Benjamin's for lunch. After lunch we browsed through a few more shops and caught the very end of the Iowa vs. UNI football game at one of the stores we went through. Mark was a little torn as to who to cheer for - his all time favorite--the Hawkeyes, or his University--UNI. I think he was happy with the outcome of the game - Go Hawks! :)Then it was time to head to our original desitination!
Isn't it pretty? We got to stay in the very top room! The room is a circle shape and very neat with quite the view!
The murder mystery started at 5:30pm and went throughout the evening until around 9:30. We had a great time and laughed a lot! Take a look at what we ended up wearing for the evening!Dick "Machine Gun" Kelly

What a fun night! We then had an uninterupted night to sleep! Of course I still woke up in the night around 3am--the normal time for Levi to be awake, but it was amazing to just roll over and go back to sleep! :) Thanks again mom and dad!! :)
We woke up to get ready for the day and a HUGE breakfast filled with pastrys, kiesh, ham, potatos, cinnamon rolls, apple tarts, and so much more! We left stuffed.
We had an uneventful drive home and had a very excited 1 year old to welcome us home! (Thankfully grandpa had Isaiah down for a nap.) What a wonderful way to celebrate the holiday weekend!
