A day at school.

Isaiah's preschool class has four scheduled parties this year.  At the beginning of the year, each child's parents could sign up to attend one of the four parties.  Mark and I picked the December party called "Jesus' Birthday Party."   We got to spend the whole day at school with the kids!  It was really fun to see what they do (even though it was quite a different schedule from their normal days).  When I first signed up, I thought it was just for a short party at the end of the day, luckily Kammy is so flexible and was able to watch Levi for the full morning! (as siblings were not invited. - and after the party, this is completely understandable!!)

They started the day with the calendar time.  The leader gets to stand up front and tell the date and the weather.  They sang a few songs to go along with it.
Mrs. Knapp had several stations set up for the kids to make different Christmas projects.  Each parent got assigned to help with these projects.  We got to help the kids glue sequins on little felt Christmas trees.  It was fun - some kids (mainly the boys) did a few and were done and others glued as many sequins as possible on the tree.   Once they were done with the project, they got to go to a specific play area.  It was neat to watch the kids interact together playing.
Isaiah and his buddy Kit playing the "domestic play"
Cutting in the cutting station - this is where the kids can cut at school.  The scraps just fall to the floor, and can be used for other cutting projects.  What a great idea!
Bingo with Mrs. Willhite - the prize - a Happy Birthday Jesus sticker
After the stations were over, we had ice cream!  Mrs. Knapp put a birthday candle in each little ice cream up and we sang Happy Birthday.  Instead of all blowing out the candles at once and sharing all the germs, she had each child blow out their own candle - smart thinking!
After snack time the kids had fun singing and dancing to some silly songs.  I think the favorite song of the day was "Going on a bear hunt."
Couldn't help but take a picture of the cute little stockings.  Isaiah's is towards the middle with the big white patch.
Isaiah left his teachers a little gift, look how cute his Christmas cards are.  They both say "Merry Christmas."
What a fun party!  I wish I was going to the next one!!
