we voted.

we decided to go vote together as a family today. When I got home from work we told Isaiah that we were going to vote and he got really excited because he thought we were going to go ride on a boat. When we went to Florida in June we got to go out with Mark's aunt on her boat. Isaiah loved it! He has talked about it a lot and he still likes to play with his life jacket. Just the other day he kept asking to go on an airplane to visit Grandma in Florida...and then talked about the boat. I tried to explain that we were going to cast our ballot, but he didn't understand that--haha.

Once we got to our voting station, a synagogue near our house, Isaiah seemed interested and wanted to come. We walked in and got in line...only one person ahead of us! We signed n and went to our little stations and I held Isaiah and he watched me fill in the circles. Then we got to put our votes in the machine, Isaiah helped daddy and we were done--like 5 minutes later! We started walking out and Isaiah started fussing, "go vote, go vote." He didn't think we were done. We finally got him out the door while he was still wanting to vote...of course I made us stop for a few pictures, Isaiah is obviously not happy about it.

smart thinking daddy distracted him by taking him over to a grassy area with trees and we played outside in the dark for a little while and went home. so we voted..and confused Isaiah :)
